Loop Size: For a balanced appearance, try to keep loops about the same size.
-
Tighten the Knot: For a polished appearance, make sure the knot is firm and secure.
-
Put a Centerpiece: To give the bow a more ornamental look, place a piece of ribbon or a tiny adornment in the middle.

Practice makes perfect, so if your first bow isn't flawless, don't give up. You can consistently create lovely bows with a little effort.

Rosette bow
Despite its frightening appearance due to its numerous loops, the rosette bow, often called a pom-pom bow, is actually quite easy to make. Utilize our simple ribbon folding trick to create uniform loops throughout. We'll demonstrate how to create a bow with a wired ribbon so that the loops are correctly styled.
Ideal for Christmas bows that are loved. Use ribbon with a red and green pattern to create a Christmas bow!
POM POM bows
You will need:
Sissors, ribbon and craft wire
Whether you wrap your gifts with cloth or create your own wrapping paper, a traditional pom-pom ribbon bow provides a unique touch. You can add your preferred colours and patterns to bows by creating them yourself.
Our method works with various types of ribbons and is simple enough for novices. We advise beginning with a wire-edged ribbon if this is your first time creating an elaborate bow. You may simply conceal any flaws by styling the bow's loops with the wiring.
Create a Circle of Ribbons
Construct a circle out of the ribbon that is roughly the width of the bow you want to construct; ours is about six inches across. Make at least eight rings with the ribbon as you continue winding it. Your bow will be fuller the more times you wrap the ribbon around since it will have more loops in the middle.
Trim Corners
Once the ribbon has been wrapped into circles, flatten the loops and cut diagonally at each corner with craft scissors. Be careful though, the center of your completed bow will appear somewhat flat if you chop off too much.
Secure the Center
Refold the flattened loops so that the cut notches meet in the middle after cutting the four corners. Tie the ribbon as tightly as you can by firmly wrapping a thin piece of craft wire or string around the center notches. Later, the loops will conceal the threads, so leave them dangling.
Make the Loops Fluffy and full
Pull out the innermost loop on one side of the bow and twist it to the right. The next innermost loop should be pulled out and twisted to the left. This process should be repeated until every loop on one side has been twisted. For the opposite side of the bow, repeat.
Modify the Loops
To complete the bow, arrange the loops as necessary. The loops should remain in place while you style them if you used a ribbon with a wire rim. Attach the bow to the top of your wrapped gift using the wire ends or thin ribbon, or use double-sided glue like glue dots or tape.
